Condolence From: Bob Davidson, Margot (Davidson) Jewell, Ron Jewell
Condolence: Lynda, Anne and Susie

We want to express our condolences on the loss of your mother last week. Her sunny, enthusiastic personality will be missed by the Newcastle community. It is very hard to lose your mother, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

We were sorry not to be able to attend the funeral last week; on Friday we were attending the funeral of a family friend here in Toronto. We were thinking of you also at that time.

Margot (on behalf of Ron and Bob as well.)

Condolence From: Patricia Green
Condolence: I spoke with Pat only a few weeks ago - laughed about life and she talked at length about how good her life had been and how blessed she was with her wonderful family. We worked together at Riverdale and kept in touch these many years. She was truly missed at our most recent reunions when health prevented her from coming.

I wish I could put into words how much I admired her - truly celebrate her life as she was a gift to all of us.

kindest regards, Pat Green

Condolence From: Philip, Pamela and Hugh Macdonnell
Condolence: Thank God for the life of Pat Eilbeck!

We shall miss your mother dearly. She was a big part of our growing up and she and your Dad were great friends to our parents. I think their friendship only grew stronger when they all retired to the Lake. We shall always enjoy the memories of the good parties that the Bond Head group would throw each summer - your mother certainly loved a party and helped make them fun!

She lived a happy life - cherish all the good memories.

Fond best wishes from us all. We will be thinking of you all in the days and weeks that follow.

Condolence From: David and Rosemary Johnston
Condolence: Dear Lynda,Anne and Susie,
Dave and I can't tell you how sad we were to read that Pat is gone., but we also have to tell you what a privelage and honour it was to know Pat and your dad,Jack for over 25 years. As you may remember I first encountered Jack at Humber College as one of my teachers in the Rec. Leadership Program in 1979, and later at the Leaside Curling Club in 1980.That is where we met Jack's better half, your mom. What a force to be reconned with, and soo much fun. Dave, new to curling was invited by Jack to curl on his team and learn the inturns and outurns of the game. I'm not sure if you knew this ,but we also lived on Southvale at Rolph Rd.,just down the road from your old house, and soon we were taking turns having cocktail hour on Mondays on a fairly regular basis. Even though there was a fairly large gap in our ages, we all got along famously, and soon Pat and Jack talked Dave into becoming the President of the Leaside Curling Club, and they both helped out with my Curl For Cancer Funraisers over the years. Pat and Jack also went to the World Curling Championships in Hamilton with us; we stayed in Niagara on the Lake at the Prince of Wales Hotel and had such a great time.Your Mom had so many great ideas when it came to social events and running things..all those Home and School Assoc. ect. When they retired to Bond Head, we would stop in to the sailing club on our way to the 1000 Is. and cook BBQ shrimp, and of course, cocktails.Maggie was always there to greet us and Jack with his big grin and Pat wanting to know the news from Leaside.
We both felt a huge gap in our lives when Jack left us, and now Pat.They were such a great team! All we can say we have this vision of smilin' Jack and Maggie wagging her tail(what she had ) so hard her back end would knock you down, and Jack saying Tish what took you so long?
We are sorry we could not be at the service, but are thinking of you and your families as you celebrate Pats wonderful life.
Best Regards,
Rosemary and Dave Johnston
