Condolence From: Beverley Magee
Condolence: So sad to hear of your loss. I heard the news through Susan's in laws here in Cochrane. Remember Susan fondly. We met fairly often as kids at my Aunt Jeans in North York.
Love to all her family.

Condolence From: Lynda Bentley Poole
Condolence: Like so many others I am so blessed to have known Susan! We were classmates and roomates during our time at McMaster, then followed closely to U of T to complete our Masters degrees. In later years we reconnected when Susan was at Durham/UOIT and I was faculty at McMaster, and I am so glad we did. While both volunteering at the Ontario University Fair one year we shared a lovely lunch and I told her how much her friendship meant to me over the years. Thank you God for giving me this opportunity. I hope that Susan's retirement, although far too short, was beautiful in many ways. Susan- you will never be forgotten. I will always cherish the grins we shared. Until we meet again my dear friend, Lynda xo

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I was part of the first graduating BScN class at UOIT (2007). She was one of my professors and i remember her fondly. She was a great teacher and any future nurse was fortunate to experience her knowledge and her kindness. My sincerest condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.

Condolence: While I live in Thunder Bay now, I did work with Susan at Durham College years ago and will always remember how caring and supportive she was and her beautiful smile. My thoughts and prayers are with Susan and her family at this time.

Condolence: Although I never knew Susan my daughter always talked about how kind, caring, understanding and compassionate she was. I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet her. Her family was so blessed to have her in their lives. Cherish the memories that you have and know that she will always be in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family through this difficult time.
Sincere condolences Linda, Brian & Samantha Klump

Condolence: Susan was one of the kindest, most caring friend/colleague I have had the privilege to know and work for. Her abundant heart and gentle disposition will never be forgotten. I am sure these fine qualities shine through in her children. Wishing all of you-Rick and Susan's family the peace and courage to face the days ahead and loving memories of dear Susan to forever hold in your hearts.

Condolence: I am so very sad to hear of Susan's passing. She was a lovely lady inside and out. Susan always made time for everyone and held the respect of her colleagues. The world is a poorer place.

Condolence: "Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence". Sheryl Sandberg. Susan was truly one of the most extraordinary inspirational people I have ever met. As a leader she always guided me in a positive direction. As a person she had the exceptional ability to make each of us feel sincerely cared about individually. I am blessed to have known Susan. Her bright light will always be with me as a mentoring guide. I will miss her incredible sense of humour and magnificent laugh.

Condolence From: Gail MacLeod
Condolence: My thoughts are with dear Susan's family, friends, colleagues and the many nurses she mentored over the years.
I had the pleasure of teaching nursing with Susan. Coupled with her sweet sense of humour, Susan was the epitome of caring both personally and professionally.
Susan made a difference in so many lives and will be deeply missed.

Condolence From: Ken and Ene Lomp
Condolence: Susan and I started at Durham College as full-time faculty at the same time, and over the years shared many discussions about the college, students, dogs and family. As a colleague and a manager she always had a sympathetic ear and she treated all with caring and respect. More importantly, Susan was a friend with whom I could share the good and the “not so good” as well as a hearty laugh. Ene and I will miss Susan and we extend our heartfelt condolences to Susan’s sons, her partner and the rest of her family.
